The primary applications are within orthopaedic and dental implants;
Skruvcoat and cancer therapy; ProtR-C
Skruvcoat is a technology improving the performance of implants in bone.
By local delivery of drugs from the implant, the early mechanical stability is
improved, and thereby the chances of implant success. Promising applications for
this technology are found in the dental, trauma and orthopedic areas. Skruvcoat
is presently being tested in the clinic.
ProtR-C is a platform for improved cancer
therapy with the approved drug cisplatin. By use of ProtR-C as a drug deliverer,
efficacy of cisplatin can be improved, side-effects reduced, and patient groups
expanded. ProtR-C is in pre-clinical phase.
